Combined Effect of Dispersion Pressure and Concentration on Minimum Ignition Temperature of Corn Dust using Response Surface Methodology – Preliminary Investigation

Corn dust is a significantly energetic and widely used substance in food processing industries. It not only poses hazards like suffocation or lungs related issues to the exposed workers but also highly combustible under conducive environment. In this study, minimum ignition temperature (MIT) of corn clouds was evaluated at varying combinations dispersion pressure concentration using Godbert–Greenwald (G–G) furnace. A response surface generated design expert as tool for application methodology (RSM). The predicted R 2 adjusted are reasonably close agreement difference less than 0.2. found be good with experimental results. However, preliminary model will improved future research.
